Minecraft Pocket Edition: How to play multiplayer on iOS and Android

1 Mins read

Check below how to play Minecraft: Pocket Edition, “pocket” version of Minecraft for Android and iOS phones and tablets (iPhone and iPad) in multiplayer to have fun in a group.

Minecraft Pocket Edition , also known as Minecraft PE, is the “pocket” version of the popular block game Minecraft . Available for download on iOS ( iPhone ), Android and Windows Phone devices , the reduced version allows you to adventure with friends on smartphones and tablets, expanding the fun beyond video games, such as PS4 (PlayStation 4), PS5 (PlayStation 5), Xbox One and other consoles.

Step 1. To play Minecraft Pocket Edition multiplayer on iOS and Android , both devices need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi connection, ie your local wireless network. It will not work if you try to use your carrier’s internet or different networks. But it is even possible to interact between different devices, such as a user on the iPhone entering the game of a user on Android .

Step 2. At the title screen, don’t press “Play”. Click on the tools button in the lower right corner.

Step 3. See if the “Local server multiplayer” option is turned on, as in the image below.

Step 4. On the first player’s device click on “Play” and create a world or load a previous world.

Step 5. When the first player is already in your world, click Play on the second player’s device.

Step 6. After pressing Play, wait a few seconds for the multiplayer world to appear. You will notice that it has a different blue color than the others and a Wi-Fi symbol on the right side.

Step 7. Click on this world to enter the same game as your friend and that’s it! You can now adventure together in Minecraft : Pocket Edition.
